Of our favorite Adobe XD features, Auto Animate is on the top of the list. The main downside: You can only animate objects in straight lines. Luckily, there's a way around this issue.

In the past we've grouped objects with invisible shapes in order to change the central anchor point of the animation. These invisible shapes are intended to be wider or taller than the object you're animating, and by placing the object on the edges of this invisible point, rotations happen around the center of the invisible object.

The center of the rectangle changes the center anchor point of the dial so it intersects with the black dot.
