ChargeOver is a recurring billing and subscription billing software that allows users to see revenue grow and get paid faster. Although ChargeOver has successfully built a product that processes millions of dollars yearly, their product's design and visual presence did not reflect their expertise in the industry. The challenge was to create a design system that would cure the inconsistencies within the design of the product and guide future design of new features.
An interface that has the flexibility to allow users to mix and match their dashboard widgets, opens up the product for a better experience and a wider audience range. It is very important to ChargeOver that they provide an easy way for users to view their customer status and see both the invoiced and collected amounts. Designing a cohesive experience for the settings tab allowed users to more clearly control their internal system so that their payment system would stay intact and consistent.
Custom widget components are one of the unique interface features within ChargeOver's product. These widgets can be selected and customized by the user to best fit their workflow. Many of the components are built as nested components, so if one is edited, the rest will update across the product.
It was important throughout our process to maintain an organized atomic design system, with one central canvas for all atoms, molecules, organisms, and screens. This allowed us to rapidly grow and adapt with ChargeOver as we began helping with new product features.
